Soul Fest

In a time where we need to come together more than ever, the mission of Soulfest is to unite the Gator Nation through a collective sense of love and celebration. This event emulates the goals of UF Homecoming and Gator Growl. The free multicultural celebration features a variety of talent and artistic expression, and it echoes the passionate energy of our organization.

Soulfest was founded in 2000 with the goal of creating more inclusive and diverse stories to build upon and strengthen UF traditions. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event, and our staff is working harder than ever to use its stage as an opportunity to empower the unique voices that make up our university and to bring communities together through music and art performances.

Soulfest attendees get to witness and cheer on UF students and Gainesville community members as they showcase their authentic stories and diverse backgrounds through talents, which range from dancing to singing to performances that evoke an erupting sense of Gator pride.

The Soulfest winner gets to perform their talent on the Gator Growl stage before the headliner. This tradition develops a strong sense of pride amongst the performers and energy within the crowd as they cheer on one of their own. Soulfest seeks to inspire, educate and support people from all walks of life by appreciating the contributions that each of us bring to our community. This love is bound by the thread that connects us all: being a Florida Gator.
