Why are YOU Excited for Gator Growl 2012?

We know we’re ready for Growl, and we’re excited for each and every skit, talent,
and surprise it has in store. But we wanted to know what got students around the
swamp amped up for Gator Growl. We asked students from all over the University
of Florida to share with us why they can’t wait to hit Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on
November 9th.

9. “I’m excited for Gator Growl because Josh Turner’s angelic voice gives me an excuse
to bust out my cowboy hat and boots.” – Robbie Zusman, junior, Applied Physiology
and Kinesiology

8. “I’m most excited about seeing Tracy Morgan because he’s really funny. I watch
him on 30 Rock and I’ve seen him in other appearances and I think he’ll be a really
good addition to Gator Growl this year.” – Jamie Cohn, senior, Family, Youth, and
Community Sciences

7. “I’m excited to go to Gator Growl. It’s my senior year – my final year – and every year
they’ve brought really good acts and performers. I’m really excited to see the videos,
too. It’s just a good time all around.” – Alexa Palczynski, senior, Accounting

6. “I’m excited to go to Gator Growl because it’s always fun to take part in something
that involves the whole Gator nation. It makes me feel like I’m really a part of
something. And we get to support our Gator football team, which is doing so well
this year! And I’m super excited to see Tracy Morgan because I love stand-up
comedy.” – Ana Gomez, sophomore, Public Relations

5. “I’m excited because it’s going to be my first Gator Growl! As a freshman, I don’t
really know what to expect, but I’m ready to see what all they hype is about. Tracy
Morgan seems to definitely be the highlight for me, but I’m also looking forward to
all of the other live performances!” – Nadia Kemal, freshman, Political Science and
Environmental Science

4. “I’m excited because Tracy Morgan is performing. I guess that is the thing I’m most
excited about.” – Jared Halper, sophomore, Business

3. “I’m really looking forward to attending my first Gator Growl. As a transfer student,
I’ve only heard stories and myths about the shenanigans of Gator Growl and I can’t
wait to finally be a part of it.” – Lacy Hamilton, junior, Public Relations

2. “It’s an exciting time for the university. There is a newfound buzz on campus,
especially with the football team performing as well as they have this season.” –
Adam Pincus, junior, Journalism

1. “I’m excited for Gator Growl because it is a night where we come together as a
community purely to celebrate how proud we are to be the Gator Nation. It’s a plus
that Tracy Morgan and Dara Torres are going to be there to celebrate with us!” –
Michael Bank, sophomore, Biology
