Born in Queens, New York, Kristin attended Irwin Altman Middle School in Floral Park. A magnet school for media studies, Kristin began working in the school's video production studio. During high school, Kristin moved to New Port Richey, Florida, where she attended River Ridge high school. There she was the Senior Class President, a member of the River Ridge Dance Team and the salutatorian for the class of 2006. New Port Richey may best recognize Kristin Giannas with her involvement with the Greek Orthodox Youth Association. Kristin Giannas began her GG career this year. Kristin is also involved on campus as an ABC News Correspondent for the University of Florida, a WUFT Entertainment Anchor and a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha.

After graduation, Kristin plans to get a job with an ABC affiliate and report on issues that directly affect people. Kristin’s hobbies include running, being a member of her sorority’s dance team, and volunteering with the “Prime Time After-School Program.”
