Marissa Fernandez is the Associate Producer of Communications for Gator Growl 2010 and she is a senior Political Science major with minors in Business Administration and Communication Studies from Tampa, Florida. She has previously worked on Gator Growl as a member of the Gator Gallop Staff in 2007, an Assistant Director of Marketing in 2008 and as the 2009 Director of Marketing for Gator Growl and Homecoming. Marissa is involved on campus in the Delta Gamma Sorority, Order of Omega, Golden Key International Honor Society, and various Assistant Directorships on SG Cabinet. She attended the Academy of the Holy Names where she was a part of the diving team, an Academy Ambassador and a member of the National Honors Society. Because she went to an all-girls school Marissa also was a cheerleader for nearby all-boys Jesuit High School and was also the 2007 Homecoming Queen for Jesuit. After graduation she plans on attending law school before seeking a career in politics.
