Born in Sunrise, Tyler attended Piper High School. There, he was involved with the Washington Mutual high school intern program, played basketball and was a Ford scholarship recipient.

Tyler Rutstein began his Gator Growl career in 2007 as an Assistant Director of Public Relations. Tyler is also involved on campus as the Special Guest Coordinator for ACCENT Speakers Bureau, President of the Jewish Student Union, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity’s Rush Chair, a contributing writer for the Alligator and serves on the UF Hillel Board of Directors.

After graduation, Tyler plans to attend law school. Tyler’s hobbies include running, playing basketball, reading, writing and having a good time.
