Parade Rule Sheet & Pricing To all Participants, On behalf of Homecoming and Gator Growl, I would like to thank you for your support. The parade has grown to be an irreplaceable part of Gainesville tradition and its continuation is critical. Similar to last year, we will be charging businesses and nonprofit organizations for participation in this year’s parade. And UF student organizations will only pay the $25 application fee. This is to ensure the quality of the parade and to make sure all of the costs are accounted for. This year we will be using an online payment system, which only supports one single payment. Because of this we have combined the parade participation fee and application fee into one single payment. Applications received prior to October 15, 2018: ■ For profit businesses and other general participants: $525 ■ Nonprofit/not for profit organizations: $175 ■ High school groups: $125 ■ UF student organizations: $25 **NOTE: Applications received after October 15, 2018 will be subject to a Late Application Fee** ● For profit businesses and other general participants: $75 additional ● High school groups and nonprofit/notforprofit organizations: $50 additional Thank you for your ongoing support of our UF and Gainesville Tradition! For any further Parade inquiries, please contact David Rosenthal, at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope you will join us in celebrating the 2018 Homecoming Parade this November. Importance of Arriving on Time Parade Participants, Prior to the Parade, your group will be organized in the O’Connell Center Parking Lot and the special units on Gale Lemerand. This helps reduce the confusion in organizing the Parade both for you, the participant, as well as the Parade Staff. To ensure that your float is announced correctly over both television and radio broadcasts, we will assign a number to your float or special unit PRIOR TO PARADE DAY. Two weeks prior to parade day, we will send out emails with your organization’s assigned numbers and waves. The easiest way to accomplish this efficiently, and allow you the maximum amount of time to prepare your unit on the day of the parade, is to arrive at your assigned time, with your assigned number visible from the front of your vehicle. THIS IS A CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR, SO PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR ASSIGNED NUMBER WITH YOU ON THE DAY OF THE PARADE. The number should at least be the size of a standard piece of printer paper and easily visible from a distance. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and look forward to working with you! **NOTE: Floats and Special Units that do not arrive on time will be unable to participate in the Parade, and will not be refunded the registration fee** There will be 6 waves. You will be assigned to your wave 2 weeks before the parade: Wave A: 8:00 8:25 Wave B: 8:30 8:55 Wave C: 9:00 9:25 Wave D: 9:30 9:55 Wave E: 10:00 10:25 Wave F: 10:30 10:55 **READ** Florida Blue Key is not responsible for any damages to floats, trailers, special units, or automobiles that takes place during the Parade and Parade set-up. Florida Blue Key is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Absolutely no advertising is allowed. Violators will be removed from the Parade by the Gainesville Police Department. Late arrivals will be removed from the Parade and will not be refunded their registration fee.
